Modes of Counselling

Face to Face Counselling

Face to face counselling is the traditional form of counselling. In this mode, one meets with the counsellor in a private office to discuss the issues. As with other modes of counselling, you will get to know your counsellor and explore the problem together. Your counsellor will provide support, an unbiased perspective, and will help you rediscover your strengths and resources. You may meet for one session, a few, or many, depending on the issues.

Skype/FaceTime Counselling Session.

With Skype/FaceTime counselling you are able to see your counsellor and communicate directly online. You will need to be set up for Skype or FaceTime on your computer, which should be in a private setting. Once you book your appointment, you will send your counsellor your contact information and your counsellor will contact you at the prearranged time. This mode is fast and easy and clients report it to be as satisfying as face-to-face counselling. Due to the nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee confidentially in computer mediated communications.

Skype/FaceTime counselling is not suitable for those dealing with significant trauma or a serious mental illness. If you are in crisis or are having suicidal thoughts, please go to your nearest Hospital emergency room.
